CPAWSB Participates in NDTR Learning Event with AFOA Alberta
In alignment with our commitment to reconciliation, CPAWSB staff recently took part in a meaningful learning event co-hosted by AFOA Alberta on Thursday, October 3. This event focused on Jordan’s Principle, a pivotal topic in the pursuit of equitable healthcare and social services for First Nations children. Several distinguished speakers shared their insights and experiences, shedding light on critical issues affecting Indigenous communities.

The circle is at the centre, which represents being together in spirit of reconciliation. The orange colour represents truth-telling and healing. The pathway represents the road to reconciliation. First Nations, Inuit and Métis are represented by the eagle, narwhal and beaded flower in the image. The stars represent the children who never made it home from residential schools.
