Introduction to the PEP D2L Module

The Introduction to the PEP module is a self-study module, prepared by CPA Canada, that all active CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) candidates have complimentary access to in CPA Canada’s Desire2Learn (D2L) platform. This module is optional for candidates to complete.

You'll have access to the following study resources:

Getting started in Core 1:

Core 1 technical review that includes: 

• diagnostic assessments that evaluate your proficiency on technical topics covered in the module (Financial Reporting, Assurance, Taxation and Finance)
• a personalized syllabus focused on technical topics where you require additional study 
• tailored adaptive reviews that reinforce your learning and provide you with an opportunity for additional practice
• link to the online version of the CPA Canada Learning Library eBooks (Financial Reporting, Assurance, Taxation and Finance volumes)
• links to technical review spotlight videos to help you navigate the uWorld technical review platform

Links to help you become more familiar with the Core 1 module:

• Core 1 syllabus which outlines the composition of the module and technical topic coverage
• Core module examination blueprint which describes the structure and technical competency coverage of the exam

Case writing tutorial:

• provides an overview of how to outline, write and debrief a sample CPA PEP case (specifically a retired Core 1 exam case) 

Supplemental study resources by CPA Canada and/or CPAWSB:

• Introduction to the Profession is an optional self-study module that walks you through the ethical and professional conduct requirements and benefits and obligations, associated with the CPA profession as a member and as a learner
