Personal Information Retention

CPAWSB retains personal information as long as necessary or as otherwise determined according to privacy or other legislations. Some examples include:

CPAWSB transcript assessments and supporting information (for example, documents submitted to show proof of program eligibility such as transcript assessment, degree confirmation, and letter of good standing): 

• If CPAWSB application approved: Transcript assessment, degree confirmation, and letter of good standing retained for 30 years after ceasing to be a learner.
• If a transcript assessment was completed but no CPAWSB application was submitted: Retained until assessment expires.
• Hard copy documents: Retained for one year after receipt.

Decisions of Admissions and Standards Appeal Committee: Retained indefinitely.
CPAWSB academic integrity investigation details: Retained indefinitely.
Final CPA transcript (generated when individual ceases to be a learner): Retained indefinitely.
Program enrollment and admission application: Retained for 30 years from ceasing to be a learner.
Other personal information such as module or exam registration information: At least three years from ceasing to be a learner.
