Having a well-organized resume is crucial when applying for a job or if you are submitting it for assessment purposes. A polished resume should be reader-friendly, with clear headings that facilitate a smooth review of your experience, expertise, and abilities.

Applicants who fall under the mature or international designation must include a resume as part of their required transcript assessment documents. A resume review will evaluate whether you have the relevant CPA competencies for exemptions to be waived or partially granted.

You must provide all the necessary details, highlighting your relevant work experience. By following these guidelines, you will simplify the assessment process and provide the assessors with the information they need to evaluate your qualifications accurately.

Key Elements to Include in Your Resume:

  1. Personal Information: Start with your name and contact details at the top of your resume. Make sure to include a valid email address and phone number.
  2. Work Experience: Under each job you've held, include:
    • The name of the company or organization.
    • The country where you worked. If you've worked internationally, specify the locations.
    • Your position title.
    • Clearly indicate if you had any overlapping work experiences.
    • Full-time or part-time status, including the number of hours worked per week for part-time positions.
    • The month and year you started and ended each position must be accurate.
  3. Roles and Responsibilities: Provide a concise bullet-point description of your roles and responsibilities in each position. Focus on the tasks that relate to CPA competencies. If a role isn't relevant to these competencies, omit the list of responsibilities.
You can email your resume to [email protected]. Get in touch with the transcript assessment team if you have further questions about how to write your resume.
