CPAWSB and the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP)
The CJG requires applicants (employers/employees) to submit supporting documentation. The following information may assist learners and employers with the CJG application process.
The CPAWSB is a private training provider that delivers the education component of the CPA certification program in Western Canada on behalf of the provincial and territorial CPA bodies. The CPA certification program does not qualify for credit toward post-secondary credentials.
All CPA certification program instructional hours for each CPA PEP module are delivered by Session Leaders. Session Leaders must have a Canadian CPA designation in good standing with their provincial CPA body, a Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree is preferred), and in-person teaching experience.
Each CPA PEP module requires candidates to attend a mandatory two-day weekend workshop (in-person or online) which runs 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM both days for a total of 14 hours of in-class instruction. At the workshop, candidates will complete individual and group work activities related to developing both technical and enabling competencies. Note: Core 1 has two mandatory two-day weekend workshops.
