Introduction to the PEP Desire2Learn Module
The Introduction to the PEP module is a self-study module, prepared by CPA Canada, that all active Professional Education Program (PEP) candidates have complimentary access to in CPA Canada’s Desire2Learn (D2L) platform. This module is optional for candidates to complete.
Note: You will have access to this module once you are formally accepted into CPA PEP.

Core 1 technical review that includes:
- diagnostic assessments that evaluate your proficiency on technical topics covered in the module
- a personalized syllabus focused on technical topics where you require additional study
- tailored adaptive reviews that reinforce your learning and provide you with an opportunity for additional practice
- link to the online version of the CPA Canada Learning Library eBooks
- links to technical review spotlight videos that will help you navigate the uWorld technical review platform
Case Writing Tutorial:
- provides an overview of how to outline, write and debrief a sample PEP case (specifically a retired Core 1 exam case)
Resources to become more familiar with the Core 1 module:
- Core 1 Syllabus - Outlines the composition of the module and technical topic coverage
- Core Module Examination Blueprint - Describes the structure and technical competency coverage of the exam
Supplemental study resources by CPA Canada and/or CPAWSB:
- Introduction to the Profession is an optional self-study module that walks you through the ethical and professional conduct requirements and benefits and obligations, associated with the CPA profession as a member and as a learner
