Introduction to the PEP D2L Module

The Introduction to the PEP module is a self-study module, prepared by CPA Canada, that all active CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) candidates have complimentary access to in CPA Canada’s Desire2Learn (D2L) platform. This module is optional for candidates to complete.

Getting started in Electives:

Elective modules technical review that include: 

  • diagnostic assessments that evaluate your proficiency on technical topics covered in each elective module
    • Assurance: Assurance, Financial Reporting and Strategy and Governance technical competencies
    • Finance: Finance technical competencies
    • Performance Management: Management Accounting, Strategy and Governance technical competencies
    • Taxation: Taxation technical competencies
  • a personalized syllabus focused on technical topics where you require additional study 
  • tailored adaptive reviews that reinforce your learning and provide you with an opportunity for additional practice
  • link to the online version of the CPA Canada Learning Library eBooks (Assurance, Finance, Management Accounting, Strategy and Governance, Taxation volumes)
  • links to technical review spotlight videos to help you navigate the uWorld technical review platform

Case writing tutorial:

  • provides an overview of how to outline, write and debrief a sample CPA PEP case (specifically a retired Core 1 exam case)

  • Introduction to the Profession is an optional self-study module that walks you through the ethical and professional conduct requirements and benefits and obligations, associated with the CPA profession as a member and as a learner
