The Core 1 and Core 2 modules can be taken separately in different sessions or together simultaneously on either a traditional (eight-week) or an extended (20-week) schedule.
Please visit the following CPAWSB PEP Schedule webpage to view the current list of offerings for Core 1 and Core 2. You’ll also find details on upcoming module registration periods, module dates, module workshop dates, module exam dates, exam results release dates and exam remark deadlines.
The following illustration highlights when the core modules are available for CPAWSB candidates to register throughout the year (traditional/fast-track/extended).
Most candidates follow the traditional pathway and focus on one module per session. Candidates can skip sessions and take breaks if their individual circumstances require it. Candidates will have up to six years to complete all the modules within the CPA Professional Education Program.
As Core 1 and Core 2 modules are classified as "co-requisites", they can be taken together on a fast-track schedule. If a candidate withdraws or is withdrawn from Core 1, they will also be removed from Core 2, as the fast-track pathway requires simultaneous completion of both modules.
If you have questions about which option to pursue (traditional vs. extended, traditional vs. fast-track, or traditional vs. extended fast-track), we highly recommend booking an academic advising appointment with a CPAWSB Academic Advisor.
