Next Steps for Successful Candidates
Practical Experience
In addition to successfully completing the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) modules and the Common Final Examination (CFE), candidates need to complete a term of relevant practical experience, including development of required competencies, to be eligible for membership with a provincial CPA body.
CPA practical experience is administered by the provincial CPA bodies. For assistance, please contact your provincial CPA body directly:
- British Columbia and Yukon: [email protected]
- Alberta: [email protected]
- Saskatchewan: [email protected]
- Manitoba: [email protected]
- Northwest Territories and Nunavut: [email protected]
Membership Application
Candidates who have successfully completed all three days of the CFE and the practical experience requirements (PER) should initiate a membership application with their respective provincial accounting body. Each province will have the relevant forms and information regarding application for membership and convocation on their provincial website.
Re-mark Requests
Candidates who are successful with depth in Assurance (role) but who failed on depth in Financial Reporting can request a re-mark of their result. Successful CFE candidates, other than those noted above, cannot request a re-mark of their results.
