Land Acknowledgment
CPAWSB acknowledges the many Indigenous Peoples from whose traditional and ancestral lands we operate. We recognize and respect that our work extends across the diverse territories of numerous Indigenous Nations throughout Western Canada.
We acknowledge that our operations are situated on the traditional lands of various Indigenous Peoples, including but not limited to Amiskwacîwâskahikan (Edmonton), which is part of Treaty 6 and Metis Region 4; Moh’kins’tis (Calgary), which is part of Treaty 7 and Metis Region 3; and the unceded territory of the Musqueam (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm), Squamish (Sḵwx̱wú7mesh), and Tsleil-Waututh (səl̓ilwətaɁɬ) Nations (Vancouver).
We pay tribute to the contributions, heritage, stories, and cultures of the many Indigenous Peoples, both past and present, and we remain committed to fostering good relations and continuing our journey toward reconciliation.
