Session leaders prepare for and conduct two‐day, face‐to‐face workshops in each CPA PEP module. Core 1 session leaders conduct a two-day, face-to-face workshop during the first weekend of the module and a second two-day, face-to-face workshop on another weekend mid-module. Session leaders for all other modules only conduct a single two-day, face-to-face weekend workshop mid-module.
Compensation is $2,900 per two‐day workshop. Travel expenses will be reimbursed, within defined guidelines.
Interested applicants must have a CPA designation, a university degree (master’s degree preferred), and previous in‐person teaching experience.
All potential session leaders must attend a module workshop (held in Burnaby, Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Regina, Saskatoon, Vancouver, Victoria, or Winnipeg) and potential session leaders are expected to present an activity on each day of the workshop. Each potential session leader is paired with a mentor who will provide CPAWSB staff with feedback on the potential session leader’s performance. A CPAWSB staff member may also be present to evaluate the potential session leader. No compensation or travel allowance will be paid for attending this session.
Potential session leaders who successfully complete the workshop training are invited to attend one day of session leader training in Vancouver, BC. A travel allowance, prorated for distance travelled, will be paid to participants. Potential session leaders must attend the training day to be considered for session leader opportunities.
CPAWSB is not currently accepting applications for this role. Please check back in fall 2017 for details on future training sessions.
